Issues before introduction
It takes about half a day because just one employee have to do closing in bulk at the end of the month, and many mistakes were a problem.

The check-side also needed about 1 to 2 days, so we wanted to reduce human error and human burden as much as possible.

The introduction of “morning work” recommended by the Japanese government was also an issue for attendance management.

Effect after introduction

We are using the Chameleon scan to clock-in. Since the colour code can be printed within the company and does not require personal information, it is a big advantage that even if it is lost, you do not have to worry about security.

It is also easy for individuals to easily back up in case of emergency, such as copying or taking a picture of the code with the camera of a smartphone.

Reasonable price is also attractive because it only costs the iPad and license fee to introduce it.

It is now possible to check work styles in real-time, which could only be grasped one month later, making it easier for other departments to speak to them.

It also supports paid leave, including a unique leave system, such as refreshment leave and marriage leave, reducing the effort to manage multiple systems.

Management Department Manager / MBA Mr. Akihide Muto

The reason for the introduction was that we wanted to reduce human error and human burden as much as possible.
Second, the introduction of “morning work” recommended by the government was also an issue for attendance management.
Initially, we planned to operate and manage in-house using a stamping machine and attendance software without being aware of the cloud, but the introduction cost is in units of 1 million yen, and the monthly operation cost is 500 yen or more per person. In addition to being expensive, I ran into the problem of high custom costs in the work system of the IT industry, which has many exceptions. At that time, I found a cloud service like “KING OF TIME”. At first, it was like trying to reach out to the number one company with a track record. If it is difficult to introduce even the number one, I thought that we should reconsider our work rules.

With the support of the introduction of early morning work in “KING OF TIME”, we started a one-month trial. The support center responded one-on-one, and immediately consulted by phone or e-mail with any questions, and various settings took shape during the trial period.

I was imagining face-to-face hearings and a series of specifications, so at first I was a little worried about just the telephone support. However, the support was very friendly, and he made individual suggestions regarding requests such as “I can / cannot do this” or “There are such methods, so how about this kind of operation?” I thought it was very encouraging.

In the IT industry, it is likely that we will not be able to handle items that do not normally meet the required specifications, or that additional charges or schedule changes will be required. However, Human Technologies will work with clients to create problems and support. A person in charge will be assigned to support at the time of introduction, but it is also a point that you can rest assured that the information is shared so that anyone can respond to the follow-up after that.

Of course, when I brought up “attendance management,” some people felt suffocating, saying, “I think the company will monitor me from work to work.” However, when it was implemented, it took almost no time to process, two iPads for reading were enough, and the discretion of the department manager, train delays, etc., the fairness of the ambiguous part was guaranteed. I naturally became more aware of working hours. Because the reading speed is fast, nobody needs to wait in line even when it’s crowded.

In addition, it is now possible to check work hours in real-time, which previously could only be monitored one month later, making it easier for other departments to manage. In addition, we can support paid leave, including the company’s unique leave system, such as refreshment leave and marriage leave, which has the effect of reducing labor.

At first, there was a feeling of resistance to being managed, but I realized that this would be easier because the Excel tabulation work that individuals had spent half a day at the end of the month was eliminated. If you can see the goal properly, employees will say that it was good to put it in. Frankly, it’s definitely cost-effective.

There are quite a few people who check their faces like a mirror along with the stamping. It would be nice to try a smile contest in the future. It would be ideal if you could manage your attendance while having fun.
